Early renewal for NYCHA parking permits for the 2026–2027 season starts February 16, 2026.

To renew online:

Go to www.nychaparking.com
Log in with the same username as last year (phone or email address but not both)
Click “Apply Now” to start your renewal
No renewal code is needed once logged in, you’ll see the RENEW option.

Have these items ready to upload (documents must match the name on your existing application):

Valid driver’s license
Vehicle registration with your address
Handicap tag (if applicable)
NYCHA Account and NYCHA ID Number

All approved and paid permits will be mailed by April 30, 2026.

If the application was denied due to outstanding rent arrears, once the household pays the arrears in full or enters a payment plan for the full balance of arrears owed, you will be able to submit a new application, if the application window is still open, please be aware that the process may take up to 21 days.
Starting with the renewal period for the May 1, 2025-April 30, 2026, cycle and beyond, the registered owner of the vehicle must be on the household composition as an authorized household member to obtain or renew a permit. A previous permit holder who is not an authorized household member will not be allowed to renew their permit. Please visit your managements office and request to be added to the lease composition to proceed with your renewal, please be aware that the process may take up to 90 days.

To be eligible for the senior discount for your NYCHA Parking Permit, you must be at least 62 years of age or older at the time you submit your application.

Residency is determined by the address on your current vehicle registration.
