Parking Permits

Please view the website for locations in which NYCHA offers parking or contact us for more information regarding available spaces. NYCHA does not grant refunds of parking fees after the issuance of a Parking Permit.

If you are a resident or non-resident and decide to apply online, please note that all electronic copies of supporting documentation must be uploaded with your completed application. Employee lots are not included in the online option at this time. Supporting documentation includes your current New York State Vehicle Registration (which must be registered to your NYCHA address in order to qualify for the discounted resident rate), driver’s license for senior status (if applicable), and NYC or NY State Parking Permit for Persons with Disabilities (if applicable).

To be eligible for the senior discount for your NYCHA Parking Permit, you must be at least 62 years of age or older at the time you submit your application and provide driver license as proof of age.

After submitting your application online, you will then receive an email confirming receipt. If your application has been approved and parking is available, you will be asked to submit payment through a secure, one-time use link included in the email. Please note that an active and viable credit card will be required to make payment, American Express is not accepted.

If parking is not available at your desired lot, you will be placed on the waiting list and will be contacted once a space becomes available. If your application does not meet NYCHA parking requirements, you will be notified via email.

You also have the option to mail in your completed application (PDF) along with all requested documents and payment (in the form of a bank certified check or money order ONLY) to the following address:

LAZ Parking
P.O. Box 2690
New York, NY 10108

NYCHA does not grant refunds of parking fees after the issuance of a Parking Permit. To determine the correct payment amount, please refer to the Parking Fees Page and the List of Developments with Reserved and Non-Reserved Parking PDF document.

Absolutely no applications or payments are accepted in person at the LAZ Parking office.

Upon approval of your application and if parking is available, your permit will be mailed to you at your home address.
